2015 was a big year for us. It was our first year of running our Organic Tea Company. We won the prestigious Golden Leaf ️Award for Best Rooibos Blend, for our Peace Time Tea, at the Australian and International Tea Expo. And there were many other ups and downs along the way.
Yet, 2015 was also a year of discovery and rediscovery.
The year taught us of the greatness of people and their willingness to encourage and help our vision succeed. We found when you are authentic and transparent people will rally around with love and support.
It is truly amazing.
It may have come from a kind word of inspiration, a quick message to see how we were, the willingness to try our tea at a market stall, build our website, let us use the best photo in the world of their 91 year old 'pop', write a blog about us, correcting grammar or for a shop or café to take a gamble to stock and showcase our products.
No matter how big or small, it has all been very heart felt.
As well, last year highlighted and allowed us to rediscover our true love of tea and herbs. It made a dream a reality by allowing us to design, blend and emerge ourselves amongst the highest quality herbs and teas you can buy.
It really is quite magical.
It also made us think what is important to us. How we want our business to run. So we made our business environmentally sustainable. Our packing is made from 100% Recycled Australian Cardboard. We choose ethical and local when we can. We choose Organic to not only help the planet but support the health of the farmers, the pickers and our Tea drinkers.
It is who we are.
So this business is not just about Tea. It's about community, it's about friendship and living a life that you can truly be proud of. One that you can say that you have not just only enlightened yourself but done your bit to make the world a better place, no matter how small.
